Written off as relegation candidates following the arrival of much-traveled Italian manager Claudio Ranieri, the side went on to win the league by 10 points to the astoundment of the sporting world. Former non-league striker Vardy fired 24 league goals with winger Riyad Mahrez laying on 17 goals and 11 assists on the way to winning the PFA Player of the Year. Vardy also broke the record for goals scored in consecutive games, breaking the previous record of 10 when scoring for the 11th match in succession against Manchester United with a classic run and finish into the bottom corner. Starting the season as 5000/1 they truly defied all odds and it is a feat we may never see again.
